Hello, I'm Dilay SIMSIR

Illustration, Character Exploration, and 3D Practice

I draw the things that stay with me : people, characters, and moments that feel worth remembering.

I work with both traditional and digital illustration, often focusing on characters and everyday observations. I also experiment with 3D using Blender and enjoy exploring storytelling through small interactive projects.

About Me

I am an illustrator and university student currently completing my degree.

Drawing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and over time it became the way I observe and interpret the world around me.

My work is inspired by fantasy, mythology, fairytales, video games, and animation. I am especially drawn to creating female characters and exploring the beauty, strength, and mystery of fantasy worlds. Through my illustrations, I aim to capture personality and emotion while building small visual stories around my characters.

Many of my ideas begin with observing people, expressions, and small moments that stay with me. These observations often evolve into characters or imagined worlds where I can reinterpret them through my own perspective.

I work in both traditional and digital media. My traditional work is often created using markers and crayons, while my digital illustrations are developed in Procreate. My style tends to be semi-realistic and colorful, focusing on expressive characters and rich visual details.

Alongside illustration, I also experiment with 3D using Blender and enjoy exploring how characters and environments can exist within digital spaces. I am particularly interested in continuing to develop my work through character design, animation, and visual storytelling.

For me, drawing is a way of holding onto imagination and turning fleeting ideas into something that can exist beyond a moment.
